"The hotel looks very nice - spacious lobby and well-kept grounds. I looked at your website found the hotel location I wanted, then phoned the number given to make sure they'd take a dog. Nothing was said about a fee. We asked for a two-bedded, non-smokers room. When we got there they had reserved a smokers room for us with king bed and they said the dog would be an extra $50.00. We were given a room which was supposed to be non-smoking, but a smoker had stayed in it. Someone tried to cover it with a chemical spray. We are particularly annoyed by the explanation of the $50.00 charge for the dog. It was supposed to be for a thorough cleanup so that someone with allergies could stay there. I dare say that people with allergies would have difficulty with the smell of smoke and the chemical spray. The staff were polite, but we were still charged $20.00 for the dog. I doubt anyone could tell the dog had been there, but they could certainly smell the smoke."
